Christmas Day part 2

As usual on Boxing Day we met up with the Daniels side of the family. This year we spent the day at Anyd & Vals, thanks for a fabulous lunch Val. Ollie was on his best behaviour and even all 9 other children played nicely together. I think Uncle Martin had a great time fixing and making all the boys toys !!

Christmas

Thankfully the girls were good this year and Santa paid them a visit on Christmas Eve and filled their stockings with some lovely presents and brought them each a big present. We then spent the day with the Robins clan having a lovely (even quiet) Christmas lunch, thanks Mum and then onto more presents from all the family, thank you every one for your gifts for the girls.

On Christmas Eve the girls were very excited !! They left a biscuit and some brandy for Santa and a carrot and some water for Rudolph. I think they may have wanted to sleep near their sacks but Santa wouldn't fill them if they were there !!

Lucy loved here remote controlled Tarantula, although i don't think everyone did !!

The cousins loved the springy balls much more than the girls did !!

The Simpsons scalextric was a great hit !!

Snow

Just before Christmas we had a lovely covering of snow although it caused chaos on Monday night it was beautiful to play in. We took 2 hours to get to Woosehill and back and Daddy took 2 hours to get back from Twyford pushing many cars out of the snow on the way. When we got home even though it was dark we had to go out and make our snowman. The next day as Daddy was working from home we all went out in the snow for a snowball fight, or mainly Daddy using the children as target practice. Katie and I went for a walk in the woods where it was very picturesque.

We got out our strong garden bags and used them to sled down the hill in the snow, great fun !!

Daddy throwing snowballs, at a guess at Hannah who was hiding behind the dustbin !!

The girls snowman, although within a day he had lost his head but a week later he is still just about there.

Snowflake

For Hannah's Christmas Performance she was a snowflake. As one of the bigger children she had lines to learn - "Word of the Kings arrival soon spread very fast" - Yes i heard them so much that even I know them now !! She also got to do a snowflake dance - aah cute.

Santa

The girls went to the Catenian Christmas Party recently and had lots of fun with making crackers, decorating biscuits, colouring-in and many other Christmas activities. The best bit of all was the visit from Santa.

Birthday Party - Sno-Tubing

Lucy had her birthday party one cold dark Friday night and decided with her friend Ali to go Sno-Tubing dressed in Hawaiian clothes (over the top of some much warmer ones !!). Lots of fun and screaming was had by all.
Hannah although too young to sno-tube had lost of fun running around the slope with the girls chasing after her, as well as being dressed in costume.

The last go of the night Katie came down spinning very fast, and screaming very loudly !!

This was the best run as 10 girls came down all tied together and nearly crashed into the end they came down so fast, and scared Hannah lots !!

Lucy had loads of fun.

All the mad lot together.

Lucy's Birthday

Lucy had a lovely day last week on her birthday. We went shopping after school and then out for tea at Pizza Hut. She loved her presents, a netball hoop, a stereo, a handbag and a hedgehog !!

Birthdays

Last Sunday the Robins family were here celebrating Max's first birthday and Lucy's 11th. Max wasn't very interested in his cake or even opening presents. Luckily Lucy and Hannah were there to help.

Halloween

The girls had a lovely time dressing up on halloween. We even went trick or treating but only to Auntie Val's & Grandma's.

Day out in Wisley

On the last day of Half Term we all went to Wisley with Grannie & Grandad and their visiting Irish cousins. The weather was cold but bright and we had lots of fun running around the gardens. Lucy and Katie each had a camera to play with, with some interesting results. Hannah just seemed to pose for all the photos instead.

Finally to end Katie's weeks of birthday she had her party with her school friends at Pottery Pals on Sunday. Lots of fun was had painting there potteries that looked lovely.

Grandpa's 70th Birthday

Last week Grandpa was 70 and we celebrated with a lovely family lunch at the Castle in Hurst followed by cake at Grandma's. As the family were altogether looking nice we also updated the family portraits (although the photographer had a little too much to drink).
