I've just been visited by an angel

It must be Christmas now.

Christmas Party

The girls went to Daddy's work Christmas party in London on Wednesday. The theme was Aladdin and they did lots of crafts and activities. Hannah had a lovely time and got her face painted all Christmassy, when she got home she changed into her Christmas outfit to complete the effect.

Victorian Day

During the last week of term Katie had a day at school dressed as a Victorian Lady and made loads of things. Thanks to Auntie Val who made this dress for Charlotte earlier in the term and adjusted it for Katie to wear.

Let it snow

We finally made it into the snow after our hectic weekend. Loads of fun was had with our new sledge. Hannah however went far to fast down the slope and only just about ducked in time to stop herself bashing into the fence at the bottom !!

It's Panto time

Oh no it isn't. Well actually only just. Despite the weather the panto still went ahead last night and today but the final showing got cancelled to give us all time to get home before it all froze.

Nonetheless it was a great performance and enjoyed by all watching it. Lucy had fun as a munchkin, a very tall one !! And Martin lived his dreamed and dressed up looking like Gandalf, came on stage with a staff and even banged it on the floor and shouted 'you will not pass' !! Anyway a few shots from the dress rehearsal.

Lost Tooth

Yesterday Hannah lost her first tooth, hurrah. Having had it wobbly for a few days and not wanting anyone to touch it to pull it out it could have taken a very long time. Thankfully an energetic PE lesson made it fall out. Hannah's teacher was kind enough to wrap it up to take home, however Hannah couldn't resist a peak and managed to lose the tooth before getting it home. Therefore even though she has finally lost a tooth the tooth fairy has yet to visit !!

Having just had another photo taken of the cousins started looking at the photos we had taken over the years. The first was when Hannah was little.

James & Emma's Wedding

Last Saturday on a beautifully sunny day was James & Emma's wedding. Lots of fun was had with friends and family. Thanks guys for a lovely day.

At the end of a very busy week

After the first week back at school Hannah just about managed to change out of her school uniform before it was too much for her and she fell asleep. Bless, year 1 is far more hard work obviously.

First day at school

Lucy has now had three weeks at her new senior school and is having loads of fun, meeting new friends and having different lessons. This is on her first day looking smart, it lasted one day before the hair was not tied up and top bottom not done up !! Parents have access to a website where you can check their attendance, behaviour and homework. So far all is well.

Katie's Birthday

Yes it's nearly a month later but hey it's been busy !! Katie had a lovely birthday. It started with a family supper on the Saturday before her birthday with some cousins and Grandma & Grandpa. Then a joint party with Jack on Bank Holiday Monday. Then a day out to Thorpe Park with sisters and mummy on her birthday, along with several treats during the day !! And finally with 5 friends swimming and then for a sleep over. Pheww a very long birthday week. Thanks to everyone for presents.

Katie's present from us was a pair of 'Heely's '. So far no accidents have happened but she has been very cautious on them !!

Katie's favourite present was big bear from Auntie Val, Uncle Drew & Charlotte. I think he has been everywhere with us since.

Tradition says (well Daddy anyway) that with every birthday comes a new board game. This one has been played a couple of times since and is very good - that's because i won !!

Testing out the new heelys with Uncle Paul. Surprisingly it was Lucy who came in screaming and crying having badly stubbed her toe and not Katie falling over !!

Different days out

So we couldn't decide which place to go to so I took Hannah to Monkey World while Daddy took the girls to Bovington Tank Museum. Both lots had loads of fun.

The result of an afternoon looking at monkeys and playing like a monkey and buying a monkey !!

Day out with Auntie Viv

On one day we went to visit Auntie Viv. We went to Ham Hill which is a great place for the kids to go running up and down the hills. We went there 3 years ago when we last went to Somerset and the girls remembered having photos taken there so we took the same ones again.

So of course we had to take another photo again. I still think the original one is the cutest.

Days out

Despite the bad weather we did make it to the seaside on one day to Weston-Super-Mare. We were very british and ate out fish and chips on the prom, rode donkeys, flew kites on the beach and played in the sand with out wollies on !! The only thing we didn't do was go on the pier as it was still shut !! However we did go to a sand sculpture exhibition which was very interesting seeing all the different characters made out of sand.

Out first day out was to Crealy adventure Park. We had great fun seeing animals and going on the rides.
