Royal Wedding Celebrations

So the Royal Wedding left us with a whole morning of TV watching but needed something else to keep us occupied. A great idea from Katie was a girlie morning. The girls started by making bunting after they had seen it at their street party at school. We then had the full royal treatment with a foot spa, foot massage, hair braiding, red and white (not blue though) nails, tattoos and face painting. When Hannah said she wanted a Union Jack on her face I thought just her cheek but this is the result of what she wanted !!

Check out the bunting !! A lovely day to remember.

Day out with Thomas

Today we had a lovely day on the Watercressline with Thomas and his friends, and cousins and Aunties and lots of sun. Loads of fun was had by all, and no doubt lots of sleep as well.

We had a ride on Diesel the engine.

And a ride on the guard van 'Toad' who was being pulled by Thomas

The kids loved the bouncy slide. Not easy to take piccies of though.

We went on a miniature train ride as well

Auntie Mimi and scrummy Max.

Harry as always was adorable, i think his shoes were more exciting than the trains.

Jack and Hannah had a lovely snuggle and hugs together, as always the pair of them smile beautifully for the camera.

A ride on the steam train to a different station for ice creams !!

Jack was fascinated by a bug crawling around, unfortunately the bug got squished !!

At the end of the day the only way to cool down was to have a run through the water sprinkler.

And then a snuggle in the towels !!

London

We had a lovely day around London last week. The girls wanted to see some of the sights and famous landmarks in and around London.

We started in Trafalgar Square with all the pigeons, National Gallery and Nelsons Column

We had a brief peek down The Mall seeing all the flags ready for the Wedding and could see Buckingham Palace at the end. We did not go down to there as we saw it last time we went.

We then went passed the Household Calvary museum and horseguards parade and saw the lovely horse and soldier which looks similar to what Grandpa used to wear.

We then went down Whitehall passed Downing Street all the way to Westminster. We had a look at Big Ben and also the girls wanted to see Westminster Abbey before the Royal Wedding.

We finished our day off with a trip to see Auntie Helen in Mamma Mia which was fab. A chinese in China Town and a sleepy journey home to finish.

Chessington

Easter hols are finally here !! One of our first trips out was to Chessington, although we chose the worst one so far for the weather it meant that the queues were smaller and we did loads.

Hannah's favourite ride the flying elephants and of course a yellow one !!

While the big girls went on the scary rides Hannah had loads of goes on some of the kiddy rides, although here she got the hang of me taking pictures of her and really posed !!

We always love to have a look around the zoo part as well as all the animals.

As they had all just been fed we got to see the Lions and Tigers.

First Legoland Trip

Now that it is opened again we took our first trip to Legoland. As Hannah is now 6 she was able to drive the big cars on a properly designed road. Amazingly she didn't crash !! Although she was carefully escorted round by her big sister in case she did.

First Bike Ride

Last Friday after school as Hannah was out for tea with a friend we all went on our first bike ride in the lovely weather. It was lovely to get out and about and get the bikes working again.
