Panto Time

Oh no it isn't !!! Yes the panto has come and gone again with much fun and enjoyment from Katie and Martin (and the rest of us who watched it). It was Katie's first time as a knight with her friends from school and Martin easily played the part of a slimy, horrible character called Grim!!

Martin looking rather victorious having thrown a custard pie in the wicked witches face and become a much nicer character. Unfortunately on the last show the witches didn't like him throwing custard pies every night so got him back with not one but two pies in the face !!

The whole cast

Katie looking very 'knightish' especially with her curly moustache done by me !!

Katie and her knight friends

Viking Day

Recently Katie's year celebrated a Viking Day as the end to their topic work. Katie dressed as a Viking and made a helmet and sword to take to school to add to the shield already made especially for the battle that they had.

My gorgeous Christmas girlies

Each year at Christmas I like to take a photo of the girls for their photo album and they look fab this year. Couldn't resist putting in their first Christmas photo in 2005

Thanks for pressies

Thanks to everyone for the lovely gifts for the kids. We spent Tuesday making a mess with the art sets and also managed to put together the marble run.

Boxing Day

Our second Christmas Day on Boxing Day is spent with my family. After a lovely walk to run off steam and get some fresh air in our lungs a lovely lunch by Val. The cousins have a great day together.Hannah's present from Uncle Drew and Auntie Val, almost the same size as she is and now has no more room in her bed for her to fit !!

Christmas Day

A lovely Christmas Day with lunch at Una's

With help from her Elf !!

Followed by presents, tea and quiz at Granny & Grandad's

And of course playing with all the toys
Or just reading them !!
Or neither !!

Getting ready for Santa

Christmas Eve in our house is great fun with the excitement of Santa coming. Firstly we ensure Santa is happy by leaving him brandy and a mince pie.

Then we ensure the reindeer are ok with carrots and water - nine were put out this year rather than one as all of them need a carrot not just rudolf!!
Along with the Santa stop here signs we also then leave our stockings out hoping for them to be filled.
And surprisingly every year they are !!
Then we have very happy and excited children in the morning.

Katie got an ipod touch
And Hannah a Hello Kitty toy with a lovely glowing bow !!
