Fathers Day

On Sunday was Fathers Day and I think the children were more excited than Daddy. We bought Daddy some lovely presents which were CD's, Cufflinks, Daddy Beer, Tobelerone and some drinks mats. The girls made some lovely cards for Daddy as well and Hannah wrote in hers beautifully.
The drinks mats were designed by the children and they had a photo of each member on each with a drawing of them on the other side drawn by one of the girls. I have to say I didn't realise Hannah and I looked so alike !!

Max Sitting

Whilst the rest of the family went off to the cinema to see Star Trek the girlies baby sat for Max. Lots of fun was had and we managed to introduce Max to playing games (getting ready for future DC's) although i think Lucy was more entertaining than the games.

The children were a delight to go to bed as they were all promised a kiss from Max if they were quick enough, should have him round more often !! Auntie Cara also had a lovely time with some lovely snuggles and gurgles from Max.

Bank Holiday Sailing.

Whilst the girlies kept their feet on dry land (except for a roller coaster or two) Daddy took off with Badger and friends for a sail around the coast. Unfortunately the wind was not quite in their favour so they didn't make the distance they wanted. They all got very bored and decided that someone had to go up in the boson's chair up the sail and that was Martin. After several bumps and a very queasy tummy we did at least manage some fabulous shots from up high.

Bike Ride

After last week's bike ride with the Guides, Lucy has really got into her new bike. Today Mummy dusted off her old bike and with a bit of WD40 got it going. So with a new helmet, water bottle carrier and car bike rack, Lucy and Mummy went for a gentle ride around Dinton Pastures which was very pleasant and we stopped by the lake for a brief rest and some sunshine. Lots of fun was had by all although Mummy may ache in the morning !!

Day out

As the weather was not quite so good, on Wednesday (along with the rest of the country) we went to the Natural History Museum.

We had a look at the temporary exhibition which currently is Butterfly Jungle (Meems must go !!) which was delightful with lots of beautiful butterflies.

We then went to the Mammal Exhibition which Hannah loved the most as she got to see Geraldine the Giraffe (yes they are now good friends as we have met her twice) and the girls loved the Blue Whale.

Daddy and the older two girls went to see the Earth Exhibiton with it's volcano and rocks. Hannah and I went round and round on the escalator into the earth and also had a look at the Jewel's exhibition.

Finally we saw the Monkeys which my monkeys loved. Lots of fun was had by all although it is a lot of walking.

Lucy about to have her fingers bitten !!

Hannah and Geraldine

Don't look behind you Hannah !!

Some beautiful butterflies

Time for a rest from all that walking. Photo taken by Hannah.

Hannah who spent most of the day either taking pictures of things or having them taken of her.

Bank Holiday in the sunshine

On Sunday we enjoyed the sunshine in the garden. We got out our bouncy castle for the first time in ages (also the last as it has many holes in it !!). We also then filled the paddling pool with water and balls and lots of fun was had by the girls. As you can see the water was not particularly warm !! Unfortunately Bank Holiday Monday is not looking quite so good as it is currently raining !!

Sports Day

On Wednesday in the lovely sunshine we had sports day.
Hannah was first with the Pre-School with her races - hopping, jumping, running, bean bag and bat and obstacle race. Unfortunately as i was working i couldn't get any photos but she had lots of fun and did very well.
Last was the Junior races. Katie and Lucy both did very well and had lots of fun. Lucy even ran the relay race at the very end.
