Sports Day

Last Tuesday on a lovely warm sunny day the girls took part in the school Sports Day. It was Lucy's last one but I am sure she was not sad about that !!!
Lucy below took part in a relay race, dribbling the football race (Lucy of course was brilliant at this - not), the traditional sack race and javelin. Lucy's team St Patricks did not do very well.

Katie also took part in the relay race and shuttlerun race. St Patricks did a lot better in Katie's class, unfortunately due to lack of numbers Katie was not in the St Patrick's team and had to run for the opposition St Andrews!!

Hannah had a lovely time taking part in her first full sports day. You can see her stickers on her T-Shirt with a first and second on them.

Carefully concentrating on balancing the bean bag on her head !!

Garden Update

Hannah and I have been working hard on the garden as you can see below Hannah is always keen to help, especially now she has her own tool bag !!

Having started the process off by planting all the seeds, Hannah has been helping to water the plants most days. We have now planted out all our vegetables and flowers. Hopefully we soon will have - potatoes, strawberries, runner beans, carrots, parsnips, sweetcorn, cucumber, lettuce and tomatoes.

My flower patch that Granny and I planted last year now has taken shape and will soon have sunflowers behind.

Last years patch having been weeded, dug over and nicely planted.

Lovely Weather

With some lovely weather for the weekend the girls got the paddling pool out to cool down. Hopefully it will be back out later this summer.

May Bank Holiday

During the only bit of nice weather so far this weekend Katie and Hannah had a treat at the free Fun Fair in town which of course they thoroughly enjoyed.

A new Cousin

Cousin Harry Froy was born on Friday 23rd April, his Daddy's birthday !!

The girls were almost fighting over who could hold him first !!

So with so many boys around more games had to be bought, although Lucy & Katie enjoy them just as much.

Springtime Gardening

Hannah had a new garden set for her birthday and was desperate to start planting the seeds. We did very well and planted lots of seeds and Hannah has been busy watering them all for me. We now are growing Strawberries, Potatoes, Carrots, Parsnips, Sweetcorn, Cucumber, Tomatoes, Beans, Various flowers and loads of sunflowers. Hopefully more photos to come as they progress.

Alton Towers

In the Easter Holidays we all went away for a few days to visit Alton Towers. First we went to the Water Park, which was great fun with water rides, lazy rivers and lots of things to turn and splash.

At Alton Towers the family mainly split in two with Daddy and Lucy going on the scary rollercoasters, while Hannah and Katie went on all the sedate (if a bit dull) rides, lucky Mummy !! Matin on Oblivion, he is the one on the far right hand side with his arms in the air. Hopefully the clip below works, although it was taken on my mobile phone !!
